    Ventilation?
Ok, this may sound really dumb to y'all, but oh well, I'm going to ask anyway. :D
I've been doing some reading here and the same thing keeps popping up....very restricted ventilation for the sake of humidity in BP containers.
Now, just so you all know, I'm a tarantula person and just now only have 2 snakes (no BP's) that don't require very much humidity. Seeing as how I'm use to tarantulas and the fact that they require good ventilation to maintain good health and enviromental conditions, even high humidity species, it begs the question, how can a snake be put in a container with maybe 25% ventilation and not have health problems, molds or mites occur in the container?

usually a good weekly clean will keep mold from growing. I keep a fan going and it helps to circulate the air through the holes that I put in the tubs.

Mold usually occurs in a wet environment. A ball pythons humidity only needs to be between 50-70 (depending on shed)...that's not really "wet"...and mold loves wet environments.

Don't forget that you are opening that cage a couple times a week, which also aids in the air exchange.

    True, true!
See what happens when I have been dealing with tarantulas and other inverts for too long?
With inverts you don't do clean outs except for *maybe* once a year, other than that, it's just spot maintence. I'll get use to "snake thinking" eventually. :D
    Thanks for the replies guys!
