    Getting A Scale
I was wondering if it was a good idea to get a gram scale from the internet to weigh my snake (and other reptiles when I get them) I want too keep a good record of my animals and how they are growing. I saw one online for around $40.

Also, how do you go about weighing a snake. I can't imagine getting a snake to hold still on a scale.

I would get a suitbale sized cloth bag and a cloths peg. Get the weight of that , then just slip the snake into the bag, take the weight and deduct the weight of the bag and peg. Or if its a fancy scale it can be set to zero before the snake is added and weighed.

    Hope this helps.

Ill add some more. I think its alot easyier to make a drive than order online also. Obviously thats not aklways possible in this hobby but in this case, I would just go to a store. Its also cheaper since you not paying shipping.

I got my scale shipped to me and the total cost was only $20. It reads up to 35 lbs and is accurate within 5 grams. I can't touch a scale in any local business for that. It just takes some searching and watching ebay, I've seen people get them even cheaper. ;)

I guess my problem is the time. I hate waiting for things to be shipped. I rather drive and get it the day i think about it.
