    Nasty mice..
Warning! This post is gross. I was out cleaning the barn, and I looked into an old muck-bucket that I used to use before we got a second horse.. inside were two lively, healthy fieldmice.. and one more that was, well, not lively.. they had evidently started starving in the bucket, not being able to get out, and ganged up on the other for a meal.. it was pretty gruesome. (no, guys, I did not get any pics.. yuck.) I let the two go, and promptly one ran right under our house and into the basement, of course.. for some reason I could not kill them. I normally run over moles and mice with the lawnmower and don't give it any though, but even Mark could not kill these two survivors.. just felt like sharing my nature story for the day.

Reminds me... I had to get rat pup's/fuzzies one time and I also needed to get two adult mice. Well I forgot to bring TWO small containers and well let's just say on the way home those mice picked off one of the rat pups. Ate his one side up all the way pretty much and didn't touch the other side of him. Talk about GROSS when you could see bones, skull, and insides of a rat pup!
