    Yet another male not eating.....
I know that a billion people have posted threads like this in the past....and I've read them and plan to try the crumpled newspaper ball tactic....but my 7 month old male BP won't eat.....I got him when he was 5 months old and he ate fine, for 3 times....and then all of a sudden went off eating...he hasn't eaten since Nov.10....I've always fed him f/t rat pups....the 3 times he's eaten, he would never take the prey from the tongs....I would leave it outside his warm hide and in the morning it would be gone....I have offered prey to him this way and from the tongs....but no interest. So, I have been pretty laid back about getting him to eat (ie. not worrying about him not eating, too much....I just offer him a rat once a week and see what happens).....but I'm wondering if I should be more concerned??? The temps are: 83F at the cold end, and 92F at the hot end, humidity varies between 38-58%....I have to spray the enclosure all the time to keep the humidity up.....and I have a humid hide at the cold end to help with shedding. I would appreciate any advice!

I haven't tried live, because I'm afraid of him getting bitten.....do you think I should?? If he eats live, then do I have to always feed him live? I don't know where to get a steady supply of live mice in my area...only the f/t......I'm in Alberta....and you can't buy live rats in Alberta, Canada (against the law)....we are a "rat free province"....but I could buy a pet store mouse to try live if need be......but then I'd be switching him from rats to mice too (another change for him).....whaddaya think?
