Agree with Adam. Also, I've never used the EcoEarth, but I imagine it's quite a pain to clean each month.

It looks nice, but there's no way you can find all the urine soiled bedding to remove it.

News paper has to be the cheapest and the easiest to clean.

I use eco-earth for my gopher, and paper for my bp.....and I totally agree with the others that paper is MUCH easier to keep clean and KNOW it's clean. Eco-earth is nice, though, if you don't mind the extra effort it takes. It makes for a very pretty viv.

I've tried all substates and I would have to say newspaper makes cleaning day so much easier and faster. I could see using it if you just had one snake, but not for alot of us who have many.

heres a trick for all of us who have multiple snakes that saves time and is very to clean and makes a more natural setting...i use reptibark or cypress..i know its a pain to clean..so i go in w/ a shop vac and suck out all the substrate in seconds then u just dump it out..its easy..and it can suck wet and dry...just my 2 cents ;)

I only use eco earth for my gecko..

I used to use aspen for my snakes but I got sick of it.
Now I use paper towels for all the snakes.
