    Another tank....
I was commissioned to set a tank up at work. Definitely fun to spend someone else's money....

75 gallon with an EHEIM 2217 canister. I need to get some better lighting, though, the current one just makes everything look very drab. Sorry for the misplaced filter inlet as well...I did some cleaning the other day and forgot to move it back to where it should be.

Only thing it's missing is some kind of bottom dweller. Maybe a couple of clown loaches or pictus catfish?

Brad, I keep and breed many species of large new world cichlids, and it has been my experience that when they get large enough to do so (Oscars especially), they will eat the pictus cat, and due to the barbs on the cat, it usually gets stuck, which gets pretty ugly :(

I can imagine so. Thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure the oscar will be a permanent resident, but I'll figure it out as he grows and see whats best for everyone. I wanted a fish that would be out a lot, rarely hide, and overall please the audience for which the tank was intended. An oscar seemed like a good choice...

The Hemichromis (lifalili I believe) look great, as do the Severums! Nice choices, just watch the jewels for aggression, they can be nasty little buggers.

They've spawned once already. The 3" female jewel kept both sevs (5-6" each) and the oscar at the opposite corner for a few days before the fry disappeared. I saw the oscar with a few fin tears here and there...I guess he got his revenge...

Looks good.. but Oscars can get over a foot long, and really need a bigger tank to thrive. My two are boisterous footlongs in a 125g tank.
