Re: anyone have a childrens python?
Joe has two I believe.
I don't own any but the ones I've known have been a bit nippy and flighty at first but did settle down. They're cute little boogers.
Re: anyone have a childrens python?
There great snakes to own, my calmest one is the male...he has never bitten or stuck at me once in the 4 years ive had him , i bred him myself and he was the first to hatch so i kept him , the female is a little flighty but only when shes in her cage...once shes out being handled shes a doll.
also there greedy little buggers ive never had a feeding or shedding problem with them :)

That all depends upon what temps you keep your BP's at. Children's pythons prefer coolor temps than BP's.
Do you know if these are pure Children's or crosses?
Most are extremely docile as adults (I say most because there are some that are just snappy no matter what) but almost all hatchlings are snappy. They are very curious and active snakes and I have found prefer to have something to climb on and will sit coiled on a branch similiar to a carpet.
Once established, they are great eaters although males will tend to go off feed and go cruising around the cage a lot when it is time to breed.
All in all, they are great little snakes.
Here is a pic of one of my most kid friendly snakes.

This is what I mean by them hanging out like carpets.
