Re: How long do RI's last?
You might want to bring her back in and make sure you've been giving the shots correctly.
Typically, the external symptoms (wheezing, musuc, bubbles) are gone after the 2nd shot or so and the remaining shots are just to keep the remaining bacteria from building a resistance to the anti-biotic.
Although, for severe cases, sometimes it takes 7, sometimes 9, sometimes more (at least with enroflaxin). Keeping temps high during the shots is important as well.

Re: How long do RI's last?
Her temps are around 95 on warm side and 90 on cool side. I've only given her 2 injections myself. My friend Chris who works for Peter K has been giving her the other ones. I trust him a whole whole whole lot more doing that then I do myself.
Re: How long do RI's last?
Chris went up there for me and got two more dose's for her since he lives closer then I do. If that doesn't knock it out, Dr. G is gonna bring her back in and taking the next step up in treatment for her. Not sure what that is, but I know he will do all that he can for her to make her better.
Re: How long do RI's last?
I had a snake with an RI (I had to give her injections) and the Vet said to wait a week after finishing the medication to see improvement and if not to return. Did they do a culture of the bacteria?
Re: How long do RI's last?
No he did not. I guess that will be the next step if no improvement.
