Frontline spray on mites?
My friend who is a zookeeper at the Tulsa zoo swears by it for all their scaled critters. She says they use a light mist on the back half of any new addition plus its caging, and periodically to the whole collection.
Anybody else use this? It would certainly be much handier than stuff bought online, since I can get it at any vet or petstore.

I would think so, but in small quantities. We've been told by Merial that it's safe, but when using it off-label, they can't tell us if it's ok(but they said they've tested it on everything under the sun).
I love Frontline... Lovely stuff. And Capstar pills... and Preventic collars. But you can't really put those on a snake or give them the pills :)

I don't know... but Provent-a-mite works like a charm. :)

Never heard of using that, but I know that I have used Permethrin (Concentrated fly / pest spray). You can get that at all most any horse feed/suppy shop or online. Just get a 32OZ spray bottle and put 6CC's of the Permethrin in it and fill the rest up with water. Spray the tank/tub along with the bedding and also you can spray the snake with it too. It last for about 20 days. When I had mites, I sprayed everyone every 15 days twice. Did the job, quick and easy! Glad a few of my snake breeder buddies told me about it.
