Soo...what does your Photo set up look like for taking pix of Herps? I have only sceen adams(when you sent me the pix of the snake, the thumbnail, in my documents shows the whole picture before it was cropped)...but i'm curious to see how you all take such good pix.

this is what mine looks like. Mirror squares were from Walmart, blanket...i'm not sure, i just found it on my couch and nailed it to the back of the set up. haha.

Im actually about to make one out of some stone looking formica i have around here and maybe some branches. I like the natural look personally, but thats just me. I guess thats also why my aquariums all have natural color mixed river rock, and my largest tank all live plants and real drift wood. I think an important aspect of good pics is gettin the lighting right. If im not mistaken there is a sticky on here somewhere about how to set up the lighting.

I really haven't set one up. I've been using the top of one of boaphile racks which is black and I have white walls, so that works for some of my snakes. For most of the larger snakes the background ends up being my hardwood floor.

I think the mirrors would make the reflection a distraction...just my :2cent:

If you use a glossy black/white plastic, you will get those nice soft reflections that just accent the photo, and not take away from it.
