Heat tape problem HELP!

Ok, I have a huge dilemna. My heat tape wire fell out of the clear plastic clamp that holds it into the smaller metal clamp. I put it back in, would it be ok to still use it?

By the way, sorry for my bad use of terminology

Its fine. That clear plastic is to insulate it so you don't get shocked. If it wont snap back into place you can always use electrical tape on the crimp connector.
