Ever Eaten Cat?
okay, so i went to a chinese reasturaunt today, and i asked for Burbon chicken, she repeated, "burbon chicken?" and i said yes, and when she gave it to me, she told me that it was burbon chicken, and the sauce was burbon..but uhm..that was not chicken.
It did not look like pork either. and beef has a really distinct taste to me...
I have no idea what it was...
The people at the reasturaunt are fishy to me (i have sceen them smoking in the back of the kitchen). Dont as me why i went there, i was just craving it, and they have food for 5$...
and ovcourse, in the middle of me eating it i showed my dad, and he sat there and went, "meow! rawr. woof"
so...now im kinda creaped out..

I tried dog when I was in the Army and we went to Thailand. I threw up after the first bite.

yeah. i think i would've puked if i knew it was another animal for sure, but i dont, so i just have to sit here and feel icky about it. ick. see, even if it is pork, i would be really ticked off, i will only eat chicken, turkey, and duck...i wont eat beef or pork, so i would be major ticked either way.....if i knew for sure

Not intentionally - but people are funny with food taboos I realize.

On my two year stint in Thailand I consumed a variety of strange meats including
dog (both jerky, and freshly cooked);
cat (I didn't know it at the time, but found out afterward);
bat (deep fried, you eat the whole thing including bones, not bad really);
rat (captured from rice paddies, prepared and roasted on bamboo skewers);
raw spiced pork strips and entrails with raw pig blood poured on top (not recommended);
almost every insect and arachnid you could imagine fried, and some pickled;
along with all the "normal" foods - squid, octopus, etc.
I am always willing to try something once, and I'm glad I did. Most of the above meats were actually pretty good given that they were prepared well. The only things that I avoided were those that I knew were illegally gotten/killed like turtle, snake and other native wildlife, most of which are protected by laws that are not enforced very heavily.
