    And so it begins...
I had to run into my local Petland to pick up some emergency crickets for the baby leos. I always walk by the herps and see what's in there. To my surprise, they've got a spider ball python and 2 pastel ball pythons. The spider ball was 1500 and the store required an id before you could handle it. The pastels were 400 and not to browned out.

The id is probably so people don't run out the door with a 1,500 dollar snake.

I think Petland must also buy from local breeders. When I mentioned I was breeding rats to feed my ball pythons, I was told when I start breeding, to talk to one of the young ladies working there, as she purchased the reptiles that they sell.

Maybe some normal males, but I don't think I'd sell them anything else, but perhaps that Petland is operated the same way, and they found someone breeding those morphs willing to sell to them.

Wow I'll have to talk to my local Petland (we have a big lovely one here I just found!) about my extra feeder rats. I actually like Petland a lot better than most chain stores though our local PetCo is actually the best one I've ever been in.

if people are going to buy a 2K snake from petco, wouldnt they want to do some research, and wouldn't that lead to other breeders, rather buy from breeder than petco

so how are these big pet companies gettin ahold of these snakes, from breeders?? if i was a breeder i wouldnt' do business with corporal pet stores

Well I hate to break it to you, but alot of breeders don't care who their snakes go to, as long as they make money :(
