Awesome! I don't know alot about keeping scorpions, but shouldn't you be using moist peat moss for an emp? I think they need high humidity, and a place to hide.

humidity high (i forget but im thinking 75-80ish...) there is some moss in there to hold moisture. As far as hiding, there is a piece of cork bark he has a small burrow under, and a really big really deep one under his water dish.

Gotcha. It's hard to tell from the picture, it looks like dry bark. Beautiful scorpion, congrats.

i forget what the stuff is called, but most of it is finer than the big pieces in those pics (the bigger stuff is on top, and he happend to be where alot of the biggest pieces are. Also the surface there is rather dry, but as soon as you move it around a little its pretty damp under it (just a quarter inch or so down it starts lookin wet). Now that it has actually started to burrow instead of just lay under stuff i am probably going to mix some moss and stuff into the mix to help it hold its form better, and make it deeper.

    Hi,

Does yours eat the pinky (that is a pinky right?) straight off the ground? I always had to hold mine against her mouthparts for about 25 minutes after she started eating it and brought her claws around.

Basically if I put it against her mouth she would start eating but in the early stages if it dropped she just ignored it. Spoilot thats what she was :P

good looking creature you've got there.. I like the way the lighting for the picture helps to show the nice dark green color that can sometimes show.. I've got two at now, Brutus and Genghis.. I'll post a couple of pictures soon..
