Were new to this sitel, hoping to get some good advice about our Ball Pythons
Hi! We have 4 Ball Pythons, and they all have scale irritation/ burns from pine bedding that got wet. Some one from the reptile store told us we could use pine bedding with no problem.... We found out that was wrong. The severity goes from very minimal to severe. Yes we have appointments for all of them but not until next Monday. The vet assistant said she couldnt give us any help or advise us of what to do until they saw the snakes. Please if you have any idea about what to do for this or any ideas of where to find out info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Keep them on the cleanest, dryest bedding possible (paper would be best) and wait until Monday. Your vet will put you on the correct path. :D

Sorry the store mis-informed you. Sucks that now you have to take em to the vet. Might want to go back to the store with the vet bill and say "See what happens when you mis-inform people?"

Don't do anything! Keep em in their containers with paper bedding and wait for the vet!

No I would't wash them thats just me keep them dry and clean watch for pee or poop like 24-7. Thats the last thign you want is them getting pee in one of those wounds. And your vet might give you an antibiotic cream for them. But just wait to do anything till you get them to a vet.

This is a hard lesson about Pine and Ceder chips. I wish you the best and good thought your way. keep us up to date.

Welcome to the site! Sorry about the bad information you got, but I think all of us have learned that pet stores generally don't have a clue about exotic pet husbandry :(

Welcome to the site. Hopefully all four are in seperate enclosures and I'd encourage you to follow Adam's advice (he's very experienced). Best of luck with the vet and please let us know how things go. I'd certainly let that pet shop manager know that you were given such poor advice.
