Help us make our decision...
Ok, here's the deal. We (My brother and I) have enough money to get a het albino male, but I think we need to stock up on normal females before we get involved into morphs. He wants to go ahead and get the het male before the normal female. I want to know what you guys would go for first.
Re: Help us make our decision...
The female - takes longer to raise her up to breeding size. Get her first and you'll be able to breed your snakes sooner.
Re: Help us make our decision...
Also, if we get the normal female, we can have money left over for unexpected expences. I just need more reasons to convince him.
Re: Help us make our decision...
I agree, females first, they need the grow time. Good luck. :)
Re: Help us make our decision...
What's his reason for wanting the het first?
Re: Help us make our decision...
I would defanitely go with females first.
I would help you come up with more reasons to convince your brother but absolutely nothing, except the fact you would be able to breed sooner, comes to mind.

Because We could get the most expensive thing out of the way first. I am his brother and have a female already and don't need another one. Just my opinion.
Re: Help us make our decision...
What difference does it make to get the more expensive thing out of the way first? It will cost you the same amount of dollars either way (perhaps less if you wait for the male as albino/het prices do tend to drop a bit each year)
If your goal is to just breed the one female the first breeding season and breed two the second, then I can see wanting the male first.

WOW! You have a good point.

I agree! Homegrown females (or pregrown, if you want to shell out $$ and not be sure of its exact age) are a must.
