Very rare must see boa for sale
I listed the pair but people only wanted a single so I am going to offer an unheard of deal. A LONE female.:O
She is a 2005 animal that is very tame and a great eater.
She has beautiful colors and irridescence which do not show up very well in the pics. A true dwarf species with incredible color changing abilities. This is a locale specific animal from Bluefields Nicaragua.
The price is $300 plus shipping.

Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
Just curious - since I don't know anything about boas - why are selling individuals (or is it just individual females?) rare?
And how big do the dwarf species get? I like boas, just not their size when adults for "me" to keep. Saw an adult BCI at OKC zoo last month and went  , that's what size these good folks keep??? LOL And I thought BCI's were supposed to be the smaller of the two (BCI and BCC). I thought it was a BCI, it didn't have widow's peak saddles, but rather the ( ) between the saddles. It was a monster! LOL
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
From what I hear, if you feed them monster prey, they will grow into monsters... You are supposed to be able to safely control their size once they reach a certain point by feeding conservatively. Apparently people start to feed them larger prey items than they would naturally eat.
I'm not sure why someone would want to buy a lone snake of a rare species... if I were interested I'd definately want a pair. :)
It's rare to sell lone females because it is a lot harder to sell your male to breeders if he is by himself. Just think about normal balls or het albinos. No one wants to sell off all of their females and be stuck with a bunch of males that aren't high in demand, so they keep the pairs together and offer pair prices, that way they make money off of both of the snakes, and aren't left with anything more difficult to find buyers for.
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
These get nowhere near the size of common BCI. This is a female 2005 animal and she is just a hair bigger than a baby common BCI. Do not confuse these with Colombian BCI or any of the BCC species. Even a Hog Island boa will get larger than these.
She also eats large prey items like a pig.
Here she is eating an adult mouse.

A lone female is very hard to find. I have the 1.1 pair available but no one seemed to be interested in the price for both so I decided to see if there would be any interest in listing a single animal.
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
Don't give up on selling them for what you think they are worth. :) You just have to find someone that's looking for a pair of these.
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
LOL..........the one at the zoo here is a huge one........common sized "keepers" and breeders dont see a size like that very often, only zoos where the food to excersize ratio is a bit off......LOL plus the zoo one is an older snake not used in breeding and so on like a typical boa would be. Dont get me wrong I have been telling people for quite some time that these snakes get big. However one the size if the zoos isnt exactly common either. I mean did you see the annie they have.........ROFL
;)
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
If i hadn't just dropped quite a bit of cash on caging, you'd have a pm on the pair :(
Re: Very rare must see boa for sale
I take it from your post that you're in OK? LOL
Not only one but TWO of those monsters in there together. Actually, the retic was the most impressive one of them all, but that Annie was pretty big too!
