    POed BP
I went to feed my bp and realized his cage needed cleaned(we just got moved into a new place) so to clean out his enclosure I put the snake and rat in a box and went about cleaning his sterilite tub out. Well i thought I had the box set so he couldnt get out but while cleaning I heard stuff being knocked over and sure enough the snake was on the table. I hurried and finished the tub and got it ready to put him back and the bp litterally tried to strike me. I put his hiding spot near him and striked at that to. I finally just put the tub over the top of him and my candy dish he is wrapped around and put some stuff on top of it. Now how to do I get him back into the sterilight tub with out him trying to bit me even if I am near him. I can look at him through the tub and he strikes the tub. He didn't eat the rat either so could he just be mistakeing me for the rat now? I have 2 very young kids and my daughter is trying to play with him through the tub(only 2yrs old) so I need to get him back in the tub and back to his spot.

    man up and get bit.

I am not expert though, maybe Nate will chime in. He knows what to do when there are defensive snakes around:)

most likely he's in feeding mode

you're just going to have to get bit, or remove the rat, wait for him to get out of the feeding mode , which could take awhile

I was just bit for the first time by one about the same size as yours and I didn't even realize I was bit because of the sudden shock and the minimal power in their jaws. If you still are not comfortable, get some yard gloves. He is so small that you won't even feel it.
