Should I suprised that this came out of a petco worker's mouth?
    So....

The girl was helping me get some rats to make a breeder colony.

Her : "What are you feeding?"
Me: "a whole bunch of snakes"
Her: "oh really? I have snakes too.."
Me" Oh yeah? What do you have?"
Her " Oh a baby ball python - I adopted him from here b/c there was somethingwrong with his eye"
Me "oh thats wonderful that you did that!"
Her " Yeah, he's in with a green tree python and another green tree python too"

and then my mind went POP! I was so happy she adopted this snake, and then she said that - i was boiling inside, and was so flabbergahsted that I really just didnt know what to do. ack.

lol geez....say "i'm an active member of ball-pythons.net...check it out and look me up"..write down your username and the web site...and *if* she signs up, PM her the many many many many threads on why it's bad to keep snakes together, ESPECIALLY, different types of snakes.

I think it all boins down to ignorance; people can't use the excuse that the info on correct husbandry isn't out there; it is. Ask her if she has access to the Internet; she may just be a well-meaning person who just has no clue that they're doing wrong.
