    if i crossed a normal and a het (any morph) from the offspring how would i tell the difference between the normal offspring and the het offspring. :salute:

    You would get normals 50% het. There is no het spider.;)

    Oh man. Please tell us you didn't buy a het spider.


    There was a person last year on KS selling hets for spider. I hope you didn't get taken.

    Spiders are a dominant morph. Bred to a normal you should end up with both normals and spiders.

    no no i was just throwing a morph out there lol but this i did not no lol so thanks, I was just trying to figure out if theres an easy way to pick out the normals from lets say het ___ x normal or het x het.

    yea a normal x het would be NN x Nn = 2 NN and 2 Nn
    2 normals and 2 hets......damn i think im starting to confuse myself

    .....You can not tell the difference between an animal that is heterozygous for a recessive trait and one that does not carry the trait. That is one of the main reasons that purchasing het. animals from a established reliable breeder is so important....lots of trust is involved.

    From a het to normal breeding, each offspring would have a 50% chance of carrying the het. form of th trait. These are commonly call 50% hets.....but are either just normals or definate hets....the only way the truth can be know is to breed the animal and see if you produce homozygous traits.
