uhh oh.. rats never fully froze.. are they still okay for the balls to eat or bad?
did they go bad? my fridge was too low and the rats never fully froze.. they are very cold but you can still push on them through the bag and theyre squishy and soft.. theyve been in there for a while maybe 3.. 4 weeks.. should i throw them out? or are they safe for the snakes?

How do they smell? I mean besides the usual ratty odor. Spoiled meat will have a distinct, rotten odor. If they smell okay, go ahead and feed it.

you put them in the fridge? aren't you supposed to freeze them in the freezer?
Re: uhh oh.. rats never fully froze.. are they still okay for the balls to eat or bad

Hi,
Yeah I'd go with what xdeus said. Smell is the best guide.
But a general rule is would you eat anything you found like that in your freezer?

I wouldn't take the chance of feeding anything that you know that didn't freeze to much of a chance for decompostion to have set in.I just wouldn't take the risk to my snakes for the price of a couple of rats.

how long were they in there before you realized they werent frozen?

i wouldn't take the chance. the vet bills will be a lot more than the cost of a few ratties. toss them out!
