    Hypo Snows!!
does anyone know if it's possible to eventually breed hypo snows out of my two corns?
    1.0 amel ph bloodred
0.1 anery ph amel, ph hypo
I was playing with the genetics calculator and it came up with something called snow hypomelanistic (masked). . . what on earth does that mean? hypo snows? that would be soooo cool. They are so pretty :D

Now here is where we both are lost on the genetics to produce morphs in the corn snake world lol.How long did the genetic calculator say it will take to produce the hypomelinistic? I am guessing a long time since your female is PH on two genes.

ummmm. . . it didn't really say. I just know that there are a lot of possibilities with the two I have, and their hets aren't proven yet, so i was just goofing around. I wanted to know what a snow with hypo recessive would make if it were bred with one of the same genetic makeup. I know that if my corns have all their possible hets, the result is:
12.5% Amel, het ghost, het blood red
12.5% Het snow, het hypo, het blood red
12.5% Amel, het anery, het blood red
12.5% Het snow, het blood red
    12.5% Amel, het ghost
    12.5% Het snow, het hypo
    12.5% Amel, het anery
    12.5% Het snow

I understand this to mean 50% amel, 50% normal, but if I breed back, or breed the offspring, I could get some really interesting combinations. One combination i tried came up with amel, hypo, ghost, and snow. . . and I don't even know what else. Can this be right? I understand that it's only a chance, but I still think it's cool. I definitely think I need some lessons on this whole genetic thing.

When it comes to the genetics and what makes what i am at a total loss :P .So i do this i breed this corn with that corn and see what we produce:8: .Of course this makes some people upset because they say i am creating "mutts" lol.I must be doing something right though as i produced some really nice babies this year(one female double clutched and the other triple clutched) and i have no complaints from anyone.
