what to do to make snake have a pretty shed
hey you guys, when bps shed, do they always shed in a single shed<no tears, just a perfect shed? is that the sign of a healthy bp? my snake is shedding and i want it to have a flawless first shed so that i can save it and keep it.

    any tips?

should i add a pumice stone or some sort of a rock to help it shed?

    thanks!

If you put a small container (big enough for him to fit into, with a hole in it big enough for him to enter) in his cage that's filled with damp, not wet, paper towels or sphagnum moss, hopefully he'll go in and out of it. That will help shedding. Another thing you could do instead is raise the ambient humidity in the enclosure up to about 70% or so for the duration of the shed.

Yea, the sphagnum moss is great - as well as a separate humid hide I even put a bit in their other sleeping hides too as well as spraying around with the water spray. My boa had a perfect shed last week (she actually did it in front of me :) which was cool to watch.

the easiest way for me is to just raise the humidity in the tub, i do this by putting a larger bowl of water in the tub.
