Are you talking about leucistic Texas rat snakes?

If you're talking about corns; I've never heard of a leucistic one.

LOL No problem... I don't know how you would breed to get one (besides with two leucistic Texas rat snakes), but they're definitely not expensive at all, so you could buy a pair and breed them in 2/3 years.

The only things to consider are:

    1) If you don't want a bug-eyed one, be aware that there are non-bug-eyed ones out there; they're not all like that.

    2) Some of them are pretty psychotic, so be prepared to get bitten.

oh ok thanks for the information man!

Have any preferences you think I should buy from? And can you breed then with corns?

I know that Don Soderberg at SMR offers some Leucistic Black Rats and Leucistic Texas Rats (located here). I think he says the only difference is the size and the disposition. Other than him, I don't really know of anyone who sells them, although there are definitely breeders out there. Check around at the next expo you go to. As for if they can breed with corns... probably? but don't take my word on that. Ask Don S. or someone else who owns/breeds them. :)

I have a LTR. She has a HORRIBLE attitude at all times and is a psycho to handle!!!! She thinks she is a cobra arch's her neck all up tight, strikes, hisses, rattles her tail, and bites again and again. Only snake I use gloves with to handle. Also she is a picky eater. I would have given her up a few months ago, but I figured no one else would want a snake like her.... and I doubt any breeders would either so well I'm stuck with "Psycho Luci" as I call her.

If I knew what I know now about them, I would have never gotten her. I heard LTR's had attitudes, I just didn't know how bad of one they had. She also is weird and is a bit backwards. Ya know how they say if you handle a snake more offten that they become calmer... NOT her! The less I handle her the better she is. The more I handle her, the worse she gets. So I hardly ever handle her now and I believe we both like it that way. She doesn't have to freak out like a nutcase and I get to save some blood.
