African Soft-furred Rats LIVE for Trade
    Hiya,
I have some adults and some younger ones available.
    I will deliver/meet within a reasonable distance.
I am in Florida between Gainesville and Jacksonville.
I can also have someone pick up somewhere in Orlando when I come down sunday for the FIRE show.
There are approx 5 adults, and 9 younger ones. Various colors.
    Trades:
    No Boas
    No Hots
Will consider ball pythons(no normal males please, I have enough already), tegus(no columbians), various other reptiles, equipment, normal rats, frozen feeders, pretty much all sorts of stuff.

Hey Wolfy, I'm curious as to if the prices for these are holding steady? I've seen two different prices at two different shows here in MI. I've also already had several inquiries just from my "first litter" topic I've posted on a couple forums. I won't have any I'm selling for some time since I'm just starting my colony but there does seem to be an interest in them.

When I got mine several monthes ago they were going for $100 for a trio. The LOWEST I have heard of( and I think the guy was just trying ot get me to lower my price then) was $75 per trio. BUT.. not wanting more of them, I havent' particularly been looking. I already have a colony.

I know 2 folks in michigan in the same boat. They want some but I can't ship. If I make trips to Detroit anytime soon, I'll let out a yell first.

Gee, I would love a pair of those, but I am in Ohio. Although, I dont want them neccessarily just for feeding purposes.. I want them to see what they are like as pets.

Jeanne, from the ones I have, they are NOT good pets. Right now I have some 20. None are calm enough to be handled, including the ones that were born here. Most, once they mature, are very bitey.
Of course this is only my own experiance, and I have no doubt that the very next post will NOT be someone who wants African Soft-Furred rats, but rather someone who's cousin's neighbor had some ten years ago and they were so sweet that they not only never bit, but also made breakfast in bed for them and recited Ghadi's teachings each evening.
Doesn't anyone in the area WANT some?

I bet they make great live feeders lol...

No but I'm sure for the pickiest of ball pythons they would be ideal..
