    Robbery at Texas Reptile Expo
For those that were not aware, there was a robbery at the Texas Reptile Expo this past weekend. Jim Mason, Bebo, had four retics stolen and Craig Howard had a display of 3 - 5 sunglow boas stolen.

Yeh, there are several upset and irate vendors!!

It would have had to have been someone that cased the joint most of the day, because they knew exactly what they were after.

I was there on Sunday when the cops were dusting plastic tubs for finger prints. There were several vendors that weren't touched and other snakes were taken right next to snakes that were left behind. It was a common held belief amoung the vendors that the criminals knew exactly what they were after, because a ton more snakes could have been taken. Tony Hurt @ Snake Evolutions did not have any of his Balls taken, but he was next to table with stolen snakes. He said, tongue in cheek that "That shows you the value of Ball pythons when no wants them bad enough to steal them" Tony must have had 2 dozen ball morphs left untouched. Skip and Daniel Riddel at Sterling Reptiles told me they took all their snakes home with them because "you never know when that sort of thing will happen." He had a very pretty bumble bee by the way...and something he called "mystic".

On Sunday, they vendors stated the promoter locked up the room on Saturday night an was supposely the only one with the key. but the consensus was the bartenter let someone in that night because he forgot somthing inside. OF course this was all hear say...as I heard it from various vendors on Sunday.
