    i was wondering if black backs are more genitic or are they more up to chance on off spring. say as an example a pastel x black back combo?

    black backs are actually het red axanthics


    breed two black backs together and you get a red axanthic... am i correct?

    Well...... Yes and no... There are black backs out there that are het reds, but there are also non-genetic black backs that aren't even remotely related to the het red strain.

    Adam's pic of his black back axanthic is a good example of this.

    my het albino that I am getting has a nice black back to it but that is just luck of pateren the het reds are a diffrent story you can email ralph davis he breeds alot of them
