During this stage of the shedding process, the opaqueness of the eyes clears up and the ball python is preparing to shed. The body will clear up slightly but may keep a dull appearance. At this point, it may be hard to recognize that your ball python is in shed. They generally look like they normally do, but slightly darker. I have never taken pictures of this step because it is not drastically different than normal.

thanks for the info. The other 3 times he shed he went dull then the next day he was done. i just fed him so i have to wait till sunday to pull him out. also he never ate during shed before ,but like people thay change there minds all the time...

haha. i just went through that as well. my BP was blue as can be, then clear for a few days, i posted about it, and they told me the same thing. well, he shed, and it is quite evident...he will look a little brighter, and you'll find the shed!!

I would put money on it that he's not shed yet. They do the pink belly, dull colors, blue eyes thing, then suddenly clear up and look like they've shed...then within 48 hours...they actually shed. As long as your humidity is good, all will go as it should.
