I want an avatar like everybody else...!!!

Howdy all...
I must admit that I am not a real computer expert so I don't know how to go about getting an avatar ( I believe that is what it is called - a picture ) to go with my name on the forum...l want a pic of an EyeLash Viper as that is my handle !!! could anybody explain the process of doing this??? I sure would appreciate it !!!

Find a picture of a pretty eyelash viper and crop it and resize it and walla!

Where do I find a nice shot of an EyeLashViper...??? on the web?? I think I will call upon the services of my friendly local tech geek ( my more computer savvy friend Josh... ) to help me with this...thanks for the info though..

If you'd like to use one of these, follow these directions:

For the first avatar picture, copy this url: http://distortionsleep.net/images/other/eviper.jpg
Go to your User CP, click 'Edit Avatar', and at the bottom of the page, paste the url in the text field under "Enter Avatar URL:"

For the second avatar picture, copy this url: http://distortionsleep.net/images/other/eviper2.jpg
Go to the user CP, click 'Edit Avatar', and at the bottom of the page, paste the url in the text field under "Enter Avatar URL:"

Find me a pic you like of an eyelash viper (making sure it's not copywritten or you have permission of the photographer to use it for an avatar) and I'll happily run it through my little avatar program for you. Then all you do is save it to your desktop then go into User CP here...pick Change Avatar....go down to the second slot at the bottom where it says to get an image from your computer...click Browse...then Upload....as long as the avatar is sized right...bingo...nice new avatar. :)
