More than one mouse per week?
So my BP is not growing enough to shed. I have had him for 6 weeks I have fed him 5 crawler sized mouses. One week he just did not want to eat.
Should I feed him two per week. If so should I give him one at a time spread a few days apart or try to give him both at the same time?
He is 4 months and two weeks old.
Re: More than one mouse per week?
....feed it a bigger mouse. Week old ball pythons can eat crawler mice...at four months, it should be eating small adults.
Re: More than one mouse per week?
Why not just try a bigger mouse?

When I bought him, I also bought 25 crawlers (the smallest lot). Granted I didn't pay much for them but I would hate to throw them out.
The only choice that I have now is to go to Petco and buy more frozen mouses. What size should I get, and how many before he needs a larger size?

If you are trying to get rid of the supply, I would just do a few multiple feedings. Offer the mouse just like you would normally do. After the first mouse is down and once the snake has started moving around again, offer the second mouse just the same way that you did the first. Repeat as much as needed. There is nothing wrong with offering multiples, but doing it all at one sitting is generally best. After all, if you are feeding every three days when do you get time to handle the snake ;)
