Pics: steps to building rack (duw)
Here are smoe shots from our rack building. Thanks Mark, my honey, for making this possible!

First we gathered all the materials; had precut melamine frmo Home Depot.Did it aboout an inch bigger than the tubs each side for the shelves, allowing for almost 8 inches in height per tub for the sides.

All holes were screwed in with special drill bits and pre-sunk so that the wood screws wouldn't stick out.

Screwed the bottom shelf to connect the sides, so we had something solid to work with.

    Don't give up yet Marky!

To get an exact fit, we placed the tub onto the bottom shelf, put the next shelf atop it, and that's where it went.

    Repeat this a few times...

And you've got a rack! We decided not to use wheels; we lifted it OK by ourselves.

All filled up w/ snakeys (well, there Are a few extra shelves...) I'd recommend getting the tubs now and building extra shelves before getting more snakes, just in case they discontinue the model of tub you've built your rack around. :)

I am using Zoomed UTHs for now; they have been serving me well for awhile now. They are hooked to rheostats of course, and the temps are all set for now.

Turned out very very nice! Something I have found that really takes it to the next level, is go back to HD and get a sheet of white coted peg-board......screw it to the back and ta-da your tubs stop just right when you push them in.

It looks great, you guys did a fine job!

    :)

    What size tubs ar those?
How big of piece does melamine come in?
What size did you have it cut into?

It is not that hard. the hardest things are getting the materials into / out of your vehicle, and getting the first three pieces together!
