Pros and cons of feeding in regular tank or feeding tank

What are the pros and cons of feeding your Bp in a seperate tank for feeding?

i'm not really knowledgeable on this stuff, but i tried a seperate tank and mine would NOT eat in it. but now that i feed him in his tank i make sure he knows that i'm using long BBQ tongs to put the mice in so he knows when i reach my hand in it's NOT FEEDING TIME....i just assume this is working but so far so good. also i didn't want to handle him after eating to put him back home from a feeding tank for fear of regurgitating.

From what I remember, there have been findings that say that if you handle the snake regularly it will know the difference between feeding time and handling. How do you feed? live, pre-killed, stunned, or frozen/thawed? Some people like to put the feeder in a little plastic critter carrier(little plastic tubs with a vent on top) and leave it in the room to scent

I just got my Bp and am still waiting a week for first feed time, it will be live, and im going to try the pre scent thing. I appreciate all the help i want the first couple weeks with my snake to go as smoothly and unstressful as possible

Feeding in the regular enclosure is better in my opinion. To me the main two reasons to feed in tank are....

When you feed out side of the tank, you must handle after feeding to put the snake in the original enclosure. This increases the risk of regurgtation and stress on the snake.

When you take the snake out of the environment that has hides and protection, you increase the risk of injury to the animal by the rodent due to lack of cover and stress is increased. Snakes are ambush preditors, so let them ambush.

Also, definately prescent the area when doing a live feeding. It will give you a much quicker and safer feeding :)
