    Aaaa!
We decided to go for it tonight; both of our females have been exhibiting that behavior where they relax in their hides with their bellies showing inward.. we put our normal male, LaVey, in with Bela and our Pastel in with Ginger... all of a sudden both of the females are wagging their tails all over the place and writhing around; LaVey is reacting to it, but I am afraid our pastel is still too immature; he is not at all interested in Ginger's amorous actings. But Bela especially is squirting ot this stuff and this tail wagging is really freaking me out!
My question is; now what? How long do you leave them together.. I have been researching and will do more, but I am just so excited now that I am tripping over my own feet!

    Here's from Adam's breeding calendar:

He spends two days in a cage and then moves onto the next one.

Adam pairs 1 male with 5 females..so if you're doing one male to one female, (like i will be doing) then i would *think* leave him in for 2 days, and then put him back in his cage for 2 days, put him in her cage 2 days, etc. etc.....i dunno if this may be too much for the pair...?

I decided to remove LaVey.. I left the pastel in with Bela though. She is exhibiting very strong breeding behavior, but he just seems to be ignoring her :) I'll follow the guidelines and keep him in with her awhile though.

Sometimes 2 days of foreplay just isn't necessary :)

This is killing me! My pastel male has no interest whatsoever and Bela is practically throwing herself at him.. if I wait and fatten/grow him up for a few months, will she lose the "window of opportunity?" ::cries!:: I know he is producing plugs; saw part of one when he everted last week while I was handling him.

Relax ... it's just the beginning of breeding season, you have at least 4 months to go.

What would make you say that?

She was tail wagging :) I never saw this behavior and would have laughed if someone told be about it, but my eyes were bugging out seeing it.
