I am a user from time to time i will have to admit! But never tried to make it. Do you make it from other soaps and like melt them down or do you start from scratch?

I actually started out with melt and pour awhile back....just strated getting into actual hand milled from scratch soap and became pregnant (2 years ago) and decided to not make any while pregnant...there are to many oils, herbs and caustic substances that go into making soap....didnt want to take any chances.
My Aunt has just started making "real soap" I'm a little more then jealous of this, her husband want her to open a shop in S.C. with her daughter in law
I've decided to wait on making it full time until Raigen (My lil toddler) is older....I cant sit in once place to long with her around so I cant imagine being all geared up mixing lye and having her screaming in my ear.....I would never recommend using any soap made in an environment like that lol.
But I do have soaps and candles around here that I have made and use from time to time.....it makes me a little sad not to be able to make it any more so I kind of keep it out of site....we were actually cleaning out the garage weeks back and I ended up throwing out all my old blocks of soap and some odds and end....that was hard.
But here's to hoping once Raigen is older I get back into it stronger and better then before.

    P.S
Adam & Jamie...I would love to meet a soap making GUY...cant say I ever have.

I like the natural soaps myself. I am very sensitive. I wanted to make them for a while but then I got lazy so I decided to drink a beer instead. Oh well, Irish Spring, here I come!

Dont worry Jamie once I start pounding out soap..I'll make a line just for your sensitive little skin. Also..use Ivory soap if you can...its actually a pure soap...so your skin should be able to handle it.
