    A/V Questions... Can someone help?
Hi everyone! It's been a little while since I've posted but I have a couple of questions...

I'm redoing my surround setup at my house because my receiver just died. I plan on doing it "right" this time with Monster Cable everywhere. I was wondering what gauge speaker wire should I go with for a 7.1 setup with about 130W peak to each channel? I've yet to find an RMS rating for the new head. At the longest length (back surrounds) I'm looking at 30'-35' of wire and the center channel wire is probably no more than 10'-12'.

And second, would it make any difference to use automotive vs. home audio wire? Better, worse, or anything else?

I know a fair amount about audio theory and electronics, and I've searched high and low about these questions but couldn't find anything. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

use 14 or 16 gauge wire. as long as the wire is copper , i wouldn't worry.
