    new snake owner
    yeah recently my snake shed and pooped a lot after holding it for a week but i have a question. when my snake shed all came off except it the shed skin has twisted up. why is this.

    because it has dried up, like taking a chunk of your shin of, all soft and flexible, when the moisture evaporates it will shrivle up. you could if you wanted to keep it flat is place it in a zip loc bag and place it in between a book, i still have my first bp's shed 5+ years later and still looks good.

    It's hard to slip that old skin off, what with no hand and all. It's just like women taking off stockings. They usually end up rolled and twisted up. The important thing is that all the shed is off. :D

    i am sorry for my ramble i miss read the post i though you were talking about after the shed is straightened out. lol. just getting up for work, still a little groggy.

    :welcome: to bp.net! The main thing is that the shed comes off in one piece. Sounds like they explained the rest well...when they weren't confused lol.
