Tips for using Prevent A Mite?
I will be getting my PAm today in the mail (thanks EClark!) and I am just wondering about any useful tips, tricks, etc. for using it. I know it'll have instructions on it, but I am just wondering for all of you who have used it, how you went about it.
    DIE MITES!!!! :taz:

I've been using it for 8 years ... follow the directions on the can, they're perfect. ;)

I had a mite problem a few years ago and I used prevent a mite and it worked great. I only had to use it the one time and the one application I used killed 'em all... Good stuff

So you don't spray anything onto the snake; should I soak them (in soapy water, not PAM) or anything while the cage is sprayed?

no do not spray the animal!!!!. clean your cage, dry it, spray it, let it dry completly, then insert housing items and snake.

if he has mites actually on him, i would use a litlle solution of water, peroxide, and betadine, should look like weak iced tea. soak in that for a few, this way it will clean any bites.

just a loose mix more water then the other, i would say for 1 gal, i would use 1/2 cup of peroxide & betadine the rest water, should look like a weak iced tea mix you can see thrue. this way any bites/wounds are being treated as well as drowning as many mites on the snake. the pam should take care of the rest. just need toi be repeated daily if possible till infestation is gone.
