OMG, I'm freaking out!!!!

So, I was supposed to be receiving my new (and very first) BP from the Snake Keeper today. Colette shipped it to me Monday as FedEx Overnight. I kept checking the website and all it said was "in transit".... I finally called the 1-800 number and the tech tells me that there was a huge storm and the snake won't make it to me until tomorrow sometime around noon. Does anybody else have knowledge or experience with this? Is my poor snake just sitting in a warehouse somewhere? Am I worrying for no reason? The poor thing is probably all stressed out. ::::::Pacing frantically around my living room:::::::omfg:

who did you buy from? have you contacted the seller to let him/her know what the situation is? i'd hate to get a snake DOA because of a rain delay

Have you spoken to Colette since you found this out?

I emailed her, but haven't gotten a response yet. I tried calling their cell, but I got voicemail....I left a detailed, but calm (I think) message. I will cry if I open up that box tomorrow to a dead snake.

Just calm down, I am sure the snake will be fine. I doubt they keep the warehouse in such extremem temps that the snake will die within 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure the snake will be fine. And if, in the very unlikely event it doesn't survive, you can be sure the Sutherlands will make good on the deal. Hang in there...I can imagine how anxious you must be, even with reassurances.

Okay, thanks. It's just been en route since Monday and I'm really worried. I think I'm going to make myself a PB & J sandwich and calm down. :(

Aww, no worries! I'm sure your bp will arrive safe and sound (if a little stressed out).

Thank you, Judy. Thanks to everyone for talking me down from the ledge.:oops: Even my husband is trying to be supportive and he doesn't even WANT the snake. :::big sigh:::

well right now, nothing can be done, just sit tight

don't they package the box with heating pads etc? i think it'll be alright
