    Lock Pins
On the rack I got from HerpEnclosures, it came with some lock pins to keep the tubs secured inside the rack....

Do they really serve that much of a purpose? How in the world could a snake scoot its tub out of the rack enclosure???

Nate, even though i do not own a rack like this one, there must be a reason they included the pins ;) .Never underestimate a snake :P .

nate, some people keep hots in racks. and some use the pins like markers, i.e. to mark a tub, like if they ate already or not.

it seems to me that they are not to keep the snake in but to keep someone out???? like ivylea77 mentioned.

Well, I once had a snake escape (from a rubbermaid) and open up several tubs on my hatchling rack.. wish I had those little pins then!

They are there to ensure the tub is slid all the way back in.

You have no idea how many times I have come home to see the tubs slid out to the end of the shelf because someone was playing with the snakes.

Morphs, kids, and tubs not slid all the way back in. Enough to give you a stroke when you come home.

The pins sound like a great idea.
