my mates bro wont sell or swap his baby corn that wont eat iv tryd to convince him for about a month now and iv offerd him well over the odds for it. Also he wont use any advise that iv got from u guys to get it to feed and now i am really woried that its going to die. He is obsesd with trying to force feed it and its just not working. The pore lil snake hasent eaten for about 10/11 weeks now i guse it just winds me up that iv tryed and tryed to help him to keep the snake alive and threw all my efforts it will probably die because he thinks he nos better. Its his first snake and if it does die i hope its his last.

hey skunkbunny. I'm really sorry to hear that. I work at a fish store, and I see that happen all the time. Just know that it's not your fault, and you tried your best. Sometimes people choose to be ignorant and there's nothing you can do to change that. I dont know much about corns, as I'm new to them myself, so my knowledge is very little, but if it makes you feel better, I would have taken your advice. . . I hope things get better for you. :) And never forget Karma. ;)

Did he get the corn from a breeder or a pet store. Perhaps you could suggest that if he won't listen to you he get in touch with the supplier/breeder of this poor cornsnake and see if they would give the same advice. Also he could join a forum for cornsnakes or even join here and confirm information that way. Unfortunately some people have more useless pride than brains or in this case compassion for a creature in their care.

The way the brother's trying to feed it, most likely a PETCO or something. A breeder wouldn't sell a nonfeeding snake unless it was for cheaper and labeled as a nonfeeder, and would probably give good advice on how to care for it, unlike PETCO.

Thats very sad to hear :( .Well like i told you before you can not help someone who "thinks" they know everything. When infact the do not know crap!! Maybe the breeder will not sell him another snake if she knows how this snake dies;) .If it was a snake from me he would never ever get anything from me again.
