That's my boy..
Apache was out today for some handling/photos; he is such a cool snake. I don't handle him as often as I wish I could (time/work constraints) and even still, he is just fine as heck to handle and not a nutcase about it :)

Re: That's my boy..
Yeah, it makes his head kinda look like a leaf, lol. I also love how they have the stripes that go right through their eyes, and the eyes also have the stripe in them.

Re: That's my boy..
How old is Apache, Gin? Isn't he around 2 or so? Ruari is 2 and a half we think and he's already around 7ft long and about as big around as a 2 liter(maybe slightly less). I am considering probing him again just to make sure, LoL.
I guess that goes to show what a normal-fed male boa should look like. He's gorgeous.
When I go out to school on Tuesday, I'll take some pictures of Ruari. Hopefully someone can hold him so I can get a good size reference. He's a huge hunka man-snake, LoL.

I will have to get more pics of him. Here's an oldie; it was from his year of birth, 2004. You can see the growth from March, when I got him, to September '04!

I love having a BCI; seems silly, but one of my favorite things is when people come over who have never touched/seen a boa up close (and sometimes ask if they're venomous, lol.) By the time they leave, I have taught them that there's nothing to be feared.. and a lot of people are amazed that he's not slimy!
