hets..

I was thinking about after (hopefully) hatching some eggs this or next year getting a pair of hets, male and female. Which pair would be a less expensive purchase...

Het for albino or het for pied........100%

I say less expensive but i absolutely adore both..

How much would you estimate for the pair?

The albinos should definately be cheaper. Het pied pairs are about twice as much as het albino ones. I don't know about next years prices, but you can get them now for 5 or 6 hundred a pair. Personally, I would go for the pieds anyway.

What about the prices going now? pieds, albinos.... I'd like to go with 100% hets for pied or albino for the best possible results without shelling out the cash for a pair of true albino's and pied's.

500-600 for a pair of albino het 100%?

Yup. I haven't really been looking at many het ads recently, but I'd guess that het pieds would be around $1400. I seen several ads for het albinos earlier this year for $600 a pair, and a few for $1,000 a trio.

I'd charge 'em on my card right now.....

I purchased a 100% het albino pair last year, each one came from different breeders and bloodlines. The total cost was right around $600 with shipping which was the best deal I could find at the time. This year it seems pretty easy to find a pair for $500-$600.

Well shoot, I guess I'm gonna jump on 'em then... Might as well start saving for the orlando show then in november...

Not sure if any of them ship internationally, but pretty much every ad I looked at had them for under $600 a pair.
