    Vacation to Daytona next year?!?
My mom is thinking about taking us to a vacation somewhere this year. The only problem is that she doesn't know where to go :( I was thinking about going to Daytona next year around the time of the show there, BUT, my mom isn't going to go to just see a bunch of snakes. :( Is there any other attractions? in Daytona that are worth going to? If not, we might go to the Tinley show in Chicago, because a relative lives there.

Well, Datyona has great beaches and of course a lot of race car stuff. Kennedy Space Center is just a short drive away...and DisneyWorld is about 90 minutes away. And I'm sure some of the locals can give a much longer list of cool stuff.

It looks like she wants to go! Although if I get a job I have to pay for some stupid car rental! Why can't we just walk?!?! :P

She was wondering if we get some sort of discount at the local hotel for being there for the show? I've ehard of this somewhere and was wondering the same thing too.

Talk to Jamie about hotels, he knows how to pick them ... plus he's got some friends that work in the Burger King down there that will probably be able to help for a dime.

Yes, several hotels in the area offer discounts for that weekend, if you're attending the show. I stayed at the Mayan Inn about 3 blocks down the beach from the show and it was fine. Room rate was about 1/2 what it would normally be.
