That first picture of Emma is so cute she has this "Are you taking a picture of my butt" look on her face, there both BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks! Emma is our resident Drama Queen; everything is a big issue to her. She needs desensitization work; we can finally do more of that now that the foals are gone. Cuesta is very laid-back and not adverse to things like running water, bridges, and tarps. She will try to pull one over on ya if you don't keep on her though!
I love having them; they are a Lot of work; and I do most of it myself (cleaning stall, hauling hay) though Mark does help too. and they do cost $$; but I figure, we don't go out and drink/party/etc so we have to spend $ on something!

Me too. And the kicker is, we spend less on them, than many people spend on their kids. They are definately not only a rich person's animal; we are working class stiffs who love having them and enjoying them. Not to mention, Emma would most likely be meat now (as that's where her old herdmates went) and Cuesta would be owned by inept people who had her years ago and let her get practically skeletal.
