100% sure?

if i breed a spider to a pastel, is it 100% sure ide get bumblebees? and if so do all of the eggs become bumbles?

no , no breeding is 100% sure. when dealing with living animals, there is always a chance for difference. good or bad.



spider x pastel = each egg has a chance to be a pastel,spider,bumblebee, or a normal.

but there is a good chance of gettign a bumble :) so it would be the same if i bred a bumble with a normal right? i think im getting the hang of all this genetic info hehe :D :D so what are the chances of getting a super pastel if i breed a pastel with a pastel?

spider x pastel = yes! each egg has a 25% of being a bee!


your female has to be ready to breed,grow follicles,accept sperm(male has to breed),female ovulates,shells eggs,lays good eggs,eggs have to stay good through incubation, babies have to hatch and be healthy!!!

You would get more helpful responses if you demonstrated that you have done some of your own independent research on all this information you would like us to spoon feed you. Have you looked at this site yet to better help you understand genetics?

ive checked it out a bajilion times because it really interests me and i do get it thanks for the url paste the site is very helpful but i guess some of it is memorizing what het means etc.

the one thing im still confused on is it says 25 % this 25% that but doesnt a female lay a good 6-13 eggs? so doesnt that mean its sorta like double 25 % without being 50% like i dont know how to explain it but maybe you see what im gettign at? :confused:

Each EGG has a 25% chance of being het in your example. And conversely a 75% chance of being a normal.

so to say hypothetically, 1 out of the four eggs could be X and 3 of the four would be Y?
