    A little confused
    Hi everyone,
My BP has been feeding fine since I got him, and has never refused food. This week I decided it was time for 2 adult mice, so I defrosted 2 and took them to his tub. First mouse, no problem, striked and ate perfectly. Second mouse, not a thing! A lot of tongue flicking over the mouse but no interest in eating it at all. The mouse he refused was the first mouse I have fed that wasn't white. I didnt think this would be the reason but when I defrosted another white mouse he ate that with no hesitation?! Ive read in a few places that snakes can be picky on color of prey item but I thought BPs had poor vision and relyed on smell and heat?
Any help or information would be appreciated (especially since I just spent £25 on mice and half of them are black or brown!)
    Cheers!

Yea I have had mine refuse the multi colored ones many times I feed white and black and white. Think its that they don't see the different colored ones as a prey item.

Its like that smells like a rat but he's ware some real weird cloths.

Next feeding day, try feeding him the off-colored mouse first and see if he takes it. It could be that he simply wasn't wanting a 2nd mouse....or maybe the heat signature on the 2nd one had decreased past the point of interest.

Sheree (Medusa Owl) has a really funny post about trying to get her BP to eat his second mouse, which he consistently refused for quite sometime...until she thought to re-heat it after he'd finished the first one. BAM...he ate it right away. Very cute post...I'll see if I can find it and link to it...

EDIT: Found it! This is so cute, it's worth showing everyone again! ;)
