Re: Shedding concerns ! ! !
If it's not a single peice of shed then your humidity is probably too low. You can give him a humid hide or spray the enclosure to bump up the humidity. You need to get a way to measure the humidity. Acurite has a digital thermometer and humidity gauge..and it's 11 bucks at wal-mart.
Re: Shedding concerns ! ! !
I also have a shedding issue. Mine won't :P my boy Kole and my boy Ceasar Have both been in full blue since Tuesday... thats 4 days of solid blue? When is the shed coming?

"humihide" hmmmm I havn't seen one of those.
I heard somewhere if you put a heatlamp directly over his waterbowl that helps as well.
thanx 4 the advise, think I'll stop by wal-mart this weekend....
Re: Shedding concerns ! ! !
Definitely let him have a humid hide - my BP didn't shed too good the time before so this last time as well as a humid hide I gave her some extra bit of sphagnum moss inside her hide she was favoring plus a few sprays a day - she emerged looking gorgeous and silky :D
Re: Shedding concerns ! ! !
i usually place my water bowl over the UTH for that with a large bowl, have not had any issues in years.

Re: Shedding concerns ! ! !
It's settled, im doing this when I get home tonight.
"Sometimes my snake has trouble shedding and won't go in his water dish so I have to soak him and gently rub him with a cloth. I found a book that told me to do that and it works, I was just wondering if its ok to do that? He doesn't have trouble often but sometimes he doesn't get it all off."
thanx all

Ball pythons usually don't soak in their water bowls. It's okay if he's got some stuck shed, but you'd be better off raising the humidity so that you don't have to soak and rub with a wet cloth every time.
