Albino Ball Pythons...

I really love how the albinos look. Doing research, I found out that Albinos were one of the first morphs to be proven. In fact, it was almost 15 years ago. Why is this morph still so expensive? You's think there would be tons of them, making the price cheaper.

Are you intending on breeding them? If so you should be glad they hold their value so well.

If you have ever tried to raise up a female thats het for albino you will know exactly why the albino's are still pricey:P .Several people including myself have female het albinos that stop eating when they hit 900 grams :mad: .This also is a problem in majority of the het pied females.Since not many albinos are produced each season the price stays pretty much the same.

wow i never knew that! that's crazy. just cuz it's a skin mutation, they decide they don't wanna eat? i guess there's more too it huh?

Also Nate Albino prices have come way down from where they were when they got popular.

Don't really want to breed them.. I just want one. But if I had an adult male, throughing him in with my adult female, probably wouldn't be a bad idea...

No its not something genetic.Its because they know we want to produce the Albinos really bad :mad: :P .

Over $1k is still a NICE price tag for ANY snake...

Brad, over 1k is a very pricey tag to put on a ball python.

I recently posted a mojave and a spider at 995.00 and caught some grief about it from another breeder wannabe. they both were extremely nice bps but I wanted to put a FAIR price on them. I guess greed still factors in, in some peoples decision to sell something. not mine!

The albino balls are selling in the 1200.00 - 1500.00 range and are worth that.your never gonna produce tons of a recessive gene ball python, thats what keeps them afloat. :salute:
