    Stupid Colleague...
I'm at work right now... and I just had some "Customer Service Representative" come down here and see the pics of my snakes on my cubicle. Well ofcourse this raised conversation as normal. We she started the conversation with "You know Kyle, it is just amazing that people don't understand how social snakes are. I mean so many of them love the company of other snakes. And lets not get started on them snuggling up together either." Well naturally I politely corrected her and proceeded to explain the actual behavior she was witnessing. She absolutely did not want to listen.. and acted like I'm just some know-it-all who is trying to act cool!? Therefore she is stupid... and not because she had these ideas in her head... but because of the fact she won't listen to and learn from others who know better. Just had to vent a little.....

You can not help those not willing to learn.I would just let her be and see how long it takes before she comes to you asking questions :P

I really think people have a hard time grasping the idea that certain animals are not "cuddly" with others of their own kind. Sometimes I guess, it's just too difficult to think outside the box.

No you just get some people that are like " I have seen every show Jeff Corwin has ever done on snakes. I think I would know a little bit about them. " then you just have to smack them with the cold wet towel of knowledge and be like "well I have 15 snakes of all different kinds and in the 5 years I have been keeping them I have yet to see any of them hug."

Invite her to find someone with 2 co-habitating snakes (that should be nice and stressed) and pull one out for some good snugglin'

Not advocating the scenario....but she may learn something...

muhahaha :devilish:. Some people just need to learn the hard way! She claims that her snake gives her a certain look when it is hungry... and one when it doesn't feel good. Now mind you this is coming from a married adult mother of 2!

That look doesn't mean "I don't feel good"...it means "I'm lonely"...have her drop a few random reptiles in there for "snuggle-bunnies" and she'll be good to go!

Sorry...couldn't resist....dead horse sufficiently beaten...I won't make fun of the "snuggle" nonsense anymore......promise....

Look snakes that snuggle aren't that far fetched I've seen them at Petsmart.

Right next to the bilingual Canadian dogs and the three legged chickens. Them chickens were fast as all get out. :carrot: :8:
