Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
Newspaper seems to be the preferred method of bedding around here. I think i'm going to switch soon...

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
Newspaper is the easiest way to clean, specially if you have more than a couples of sakes. You don't want to spend to much on substrate that you'll have to buy too often.

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
it looks nice without the newspaper but i am havin problems with keeping the temp, so it should be fine if i use newspaper on my tank...

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
As long as you keep the cage clean. Remember that some substrates are dangerous to snakes, specially BP's.

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
Newspaper is perfectly fine! I started with aspen, then moved to newspaper with aspen on top. Now I only use the newspaper. SOOOO EASY, to clean. :D

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
i think its weird how everyone uses newspaper, the ink dosent rub off on the snake?? no effect either?:banned1:

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
No ink has rubbed off on mine. And even if it did, it's harmless...long time ago, the newspaper industry switched to a non-toxic vegetable based ink. If I remember right, I believe its the oils on our hands that cause the ink to rub off on our fingers.....a problem snakes don't have. ;)

Re: Nub!!! Ok Or Not????
i just use paper towels. super easy like newspaper, almost as cheap (if you just buy bulk generic brand at target or something), and - i know it doesn't matter - but I like that it's a little bit softer. :D I generally have it about 3-4 layers thick on the bottom of my tanks.
